Land Sports

Watitoh's daily program offers every aspect of camp activity, with equal emphasis on land and water sports. The daily program is structured, but also includes a one-hour elective period in the early afternoon, where each camper can choose his or her preferred activity of the week. Boys and girls have completely separate land sports and water sport activities, and all instruction is geared to individual ability.

There is a planned program every night that alternates between full camp Special Events, shows, movies, campfires, spectator programs, and game nights.

Watitoh campers also have all the advantages of the Berkshire area cultural attractions in their trip program, and according to their age and interest, they attend Tanglewood concerts, the dance performances at Jacob's Pillow, Williamstown, The Playhouses, Stockbridge, and all the nearby historical sites of interest.

Water Sports

Watitoh's waterfront, one of the finest swimming sites in the Berkshires, commands an imposing full length view of 200-acre Center Lake, a completely spring fed mountain top crater lake, with a natural hard sand bottom, and a constant inviting water temperature.

The swimming area, which faces south on the lake shore, and is the target of the all-day warm summer sun, features a twenty-five yard sand beach, shallow and deep crib, enclosed by an "H" dock that also overlooks the deep water swimming area. Center Lake, a jewel on top of the Berkshires, offers Watitoh campers every advantage for a complete watersports program.
